I suppose I’ll start by saying that I gained two pounds between last Monday and yesterday. Sigh…that is disappointing. I think it all started on Monday when we had a snow day and I lazed out all day. I decided not to go to the gym. Actually, truthfully, I went to the gym to weigh in (in work out clothes) and then left before working out (my first no-no of the week). Then I had a fight with hubby that night (no fisticuffs, don’t worry, just yelling). That bummed me out so I ended up “eating my emotions”.
Then I got over it, but by that time, it was Easter weekend, and I was hanging with family. I love my family, but we don’t usually make a habit of eating healthy together. So, on Saturday we went to Chili’s and I later learned that the burger and fries I ate was 1200 calories! Um…yeah…and I also ate tortilla chips, guacamole, and bean dip while I was there. I had a horrible headache the rest of the day. The good thing is I did burn about 1200 calories in exercise on Saturday by walking, going to zumba, speed bowling (we only bought an hour and wanted to finish a second game), and basketball. Then we had Easter brunch at church and Easter dinner at my house.
In conclusion, I’m not giving up! I will eat healthier this week and work out more! I already went to zumba yesterday (better than last Monday), and I worked out this morning. I plan to eat more veggies this week and drink more water. I got a bit lazy with that last week.
